Imaan Singh Khara, the legal counsel for “Waris Punjab De,” said late on Sunday that fugitive pro-Khalistan preacher Amritpal Singh had been apprehended by the Punjab Police at the Shahkot police station.

Lawyer Imaan Singh Khara asserted that Amritpal Singh had been detained at Shahkot Police Station, defying Punjab Police’s assertion that he was still at large and that search operations were ongoing to find him.

The suspension of Internet access in Punjab has now been extended by the provincial government until March 21 at noon.

Following a police raid on “Waris Punjab De” leader Amritpal Singh and his supporters, internet connections were shut down in the state on March 18 till midday on March 19. Then, the restriction was extended until noon on March 20.
