GitHub announces Kyle Daigle as COO

The open-source software platform GitHub, owned by Microsoft, named Kyle Daigle its first COO since 2021 on Thursday.

At the moment, Daigle works closely with CEO Thomas Dohmke as Vice President of Strategy and Chief of Staff to the CEO.

The open-source development platform already has 100 million users worldwide and is rapidly expanding in India, where it has over 10 million users who are developers.

Additionally, GitHub is introducing Copilot for documents. This experimental service employs a chat interface to offer users AI-generated answers to queries regarding documentation, including queries from developers about the languages, frameworks, and technologies they are utilizing, the business stated.
