BJP has won 255 seats according to the latest Election Commission data. An easy majority for the BJP is required by 202 votes in the 403-member assembly of Uttar Pradesh.

A Yogi cabinet must be drafted before Holi, according to the party’s high command. This year Holi falls on the 17th and 18th of March. After this date, March 19 is the last day to file nominations for MLC elections. The swearing-in program can be conducted before Holi in such a situation. It has been agreed that the next meeting will take place on March 15 (Tuesday). It is possible that the Yogi cabinet will be sworn in on 15th March if there is no major change.

Officials from Raj Bhavan were also in attendance. Other officials including the Chief Secretary, ACS Home were also present at the residence of the Chief Minister.
