Bagha Jatin Teaser Released: Dev Adhikari Channels the Spirit of a Freedom Fighter

Kolkata – Dev Adhikari, the reigning superstar of Bengali cinema, is all set to mesmerize audiences nationwide as he steps into the shoes of the legendary freedom fighter Jatindranath Mukhopadhyay in his upcoming film, ‘Bagha Jatin.’ The much-anticipated Hindi teaser for the film was released today.

Directed by Arun Roy, ‘Bagha Jatin’ narrates the untold story of the forgotten hero Jatindranath Mukhopadhyay and his pivotal role in India’s struggle for independence.

As the teaser displays, we are introduced to a man who fought for India’s independence and freedom through revolutionary activities, a man who also single-handedly killed a Bengal tiger in his native village for the safety of his people in 1906.

Bengali Superstar Jeet’s ‘Chengiz’ to Be the First Bengali Film to Release in Hindi and Bengali on April 21

The rising action thriller Chengiz, starring Bengali movie star Jeet, will debut in theatres on April 21 in both Bengali and Hindi, the actor tweeted on Tuesday.

As a result of this achievement, “Chengiz” becomes the first Bengali movie to ever be distributed in Hindi. This is a first for the Bengali film industry to break into a completely another market, despite the fact that some films from the South have already been released in Hindi.

The movie, in which Jeet plays Chengiz, also has Shataf Figar, Susmita Chatterjee, and Rohit Bose Roy in significant parts. It centers on the underworld in Kolkata from the 1970s to the mid-1990s.

Singer Sandhya Mukherjee falls ill in Kolkata; rushed to hospital for breathlessness issue

Kolkata News: Sandhya Mukherjee’s health condition deteriorated early this morning and she was taken to a hospital. A green corridor created by the Kolkata Traffic Police took her from her south Kolkata residence through a green corridor to the state-run SSKM Hospital after she complained of breathlessness.
