Bajrang Punia reached Sports Minister Anurag Thakur’s house, called for talks

The central government has invited the wrestlers who formed a front against former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh for negotiations. Anurag Thakur, the Union Minister of Sports, tweeted about this late-night event. Now, in response to the Center’s invitation, there has been a response from the wrestlers as well.

In order to meet with the sports minister, wrestler Bajrang Punia and farmer leader Rakesh Tikait have arrived at his residence. Anurag Thakur had earlier invited the wrestlers to a meeting. This offer was made to the wrestlers by Anurag Thakur via Twitter.

Delhi Police team reached Brij Bhushan’s house, recorded statements from 12 people

The Special Investigation Team of the Delhi Police has taken significant action in the case of the sexual exploitation of female wrestlers. The SIT visited Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh‘s hometown of Bishnoharpur in Gonda in this case, where the team took 12 witnesses’ accounts.

Close associates, friends, and security employees of Brij Bhushan have given police their statements, which have been recorded. The team has also questioned Brij Bhushan in addition to this.

Let us say that the wrestlers who were calling for action against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh are now back at work. The wrestlers made the decision to join the office after meeting Home Minister Amit Shah, despite rumours that linked the news of the wrestlers’ entry into the workforce to the movement’s withdrawal, something the wrestlers had vehemently opposed.

Top Indian wrestlers have been demonstrating at Jantar Mantar for weeks, calling for the arrest of wrestling federation chairman and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Yoga guru Ramdev has offered his support to these athletes.

Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who has been accused of sexual harassment, should be jailed, Ramdev said. To participate in a three-day yoga camp held in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, Baba Ramdev had come on Friday. He spoke to the media while making the aforementioned remarks regarding Brij Bhushan, the president of the Indian Wrestling Federation.

The arrest of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has been demanded by prominent wrestlers including Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia, and Olympic medalists Sakshi Malik since April 23 at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar.
