Team India is now going through a transitional stage. In every series, the team is altered. It’s important to note that this is all taking place just two months prior to the 2023 ODI World Cup.
The Indian team must go to Ireland after the five-match T20 series against the West Indies. The BCCI released the team for this on Monday night. More than half of the players in the squad chosen to play the West Indies won’t travel to Ireland. They will therefore be taking a break.
The 15 players who will compete in the T20 International series against Ireland on Monday have been revealed by the BCCI. Prior to this, starting on August 3, Team India will play five T20 matches against the West Indies. However, there have been significant changes made to the team since it last faced the West Indies.
The West Indies tour’s vice-captain Suryakumar Yadav and skipper, Hardik Pandya, have been rested for the upcoming series. Jasprit Bumrah, who is rejoining the Indian team after almost a year, has taken over as team captain. Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Akshar Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Kuldeep Yadav have not been chosen for the Ireland series in addition to Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav. Eight of these players are in the West Indies T20I squad.
The India team for the Ireland series features players such as Jasprit Bumrah, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma, Shivam Dubey, Washington Sundar, Shahbaz Ahmed, and Krishna. However, they will not be playing against the West Indies.
