CM Kejriwal did not appear before ED even for the fourth time, sent his reply by writing a letter

Excise Policy Case: Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, has responded to the fourth ED summons. Kejriwal has referred to the Enforcement Directorate‘s letter as a political summons. Even on the fourth summons, he failed to show up for the interrogation.

Kejriwal has reiterated in his response that he is receiving these summonses to prevent him from participating in the Lok Sabha election campaign. The BJP wants to put him in jail.

As part of this case, the Aam Aadmi Party also raised questions that since the Enforcement Directorate wrote that Kejriwal was not an accused, why does it want to summon and arrest him?

The Aam Aadmi Party has stated that corrupt leaders go to the BJP, and their cases are closed. Our leaders will not join the BJP because we have not committed any corruption.

Arvind Kejriwal will not appear before ED even today, said – why notice just before the elections?

Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, has received the third notice from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) about the liquor policy. Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, has decided not to appear before the ED, even after receiving a third notice.

Giving further information, the AAP said that plans are in motion to have Kejriwal arrested to prevent him from running for office. Kejriwal is prepared to assist with the inquiry.

AAP provided more details, stating that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will not respond to the Enforcement Directorate’s summons. Additionally, the ED summons has been questioned by the party. The notice is completely illegal, he says, but Kejriwal is willing to cooperate with the ED investigation.

Notably, CM Kejriwal has already received notices from ED thrice before. But for the same reasons, he did not come before the ED the previous time as well.

The ED may be arrested under Section 19 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) if an accused person fails to show up for questioning despite receiving three summonses in a row. But to do this, he must have good reason to be arrested.
