Mufti Salman Azhari Arrest: Gujarat ATS, which is looking into a case of provocative speech, seized Mumbai-based Islamic preacher Mufti Salman Azhari on Sunday.

Maulana Mufti Salman Azhari was driven to Junagadh by Gujarat ATS late at night. Following the evacuation of the mob from the Ghatkopar police station, the police brought Maulana before the magistrate and placed him under two days of transit remand.

He stated that this speech was delivered during a program held on January 31st in an open space close to the Junagadh ‘B’ Division Police Station.

With the video of the inflammatory speech going viral on social media, Azhari and local organizers Mohammad Yusuf Malik and Azim Habib Odedara were charged under sections 153B and 505 (2) of the Indian Penal Code.

6 Pakistani nationals detained with drugs worth 200 crores in Gujarat, Jakhau sent for action
