Pakistan News: The former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan‘s wife, Bushra Bibi, received a 14-year prison sentence. In the Toshakhana case, this action has been taken against the wife of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief. The news report from “Geo News” on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, confirmed this.

Additionally, the court has imposed a ten-year ban on Imran Khan and his spouse’s ability to be reinstated in any public position. In addition, the court fined them a total of Rs 78.7 crore.

Imran Khan and former Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood were both given 10-year prison terms by a special court in Pakistan on Tuesday, January 30.

Big relief to Imran, Islamabad High Court stays sentence in Toshakhana case, gets bail

Imran Khan, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf who is currently imprisoned, has received significant relief in the Toshakhana case. As a result, Imran’s bail has been granted by the Islamabad High Court, which made it possible for him to leave jail.

It is significant that Imran Khan’s petition for the suspension of his three-year prison sentence in the Toshakhana corruption case was heard by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday, with the court deferring judgment. After hearing from the attorneys for both sides, a division bench consisting of IHC Chief Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri reserved the order.

Imran Khan, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was found guilty and given a three-year prison sentence by a trial court on August 5. Khan was charged with selling governmental items that he and his family got while in office from 2018 to 2022. A sessions court found him guilty in the matter. He has been prohibited from engaging in politics for five years. He won’t be eligible to vote in the upcoming general elections as a result.

On Wednesday, supporters of Imran Khan stormed Shahbaz Sharif‘s home in Lahore. The Prime Minister’s mansion in Model Town Lahore was attacked by approximately 500 miscreants from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party early on Wednesday, according to the police, who then set fire to parked cars there.
