38 coronavirus infections identified in Sikkim

In Sikkim, 38 more coronavirus infections were identified, bringing the total number of afflicted people up to 39,468. The state now has 458 persons who have died from infection as a result of one more person passing away there. A health bulletin has provided this information. The daily infection rate was stated to be 23%. Investigation revealed that 159 samples had infections.

96 countries accept India’s Covid vaccination certificates, says Mansukh Mandaviya

India and 96 other countries have agreed to acknowledge each other’s Covid-19 vaccination certificates, Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Health Minister, said in a statement on Tuesday.

The United Kingdom has also announced that India’s Covaxin will be added to its list of approved Covid-19 vaccines for entry of international passengers into the country without requiring them to self-isolate upon arrival. Changes will be implemented at 4 am on November 22.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the Union health ministry said, “At present, 96 countries have agreed to recognize the vaccination certificates of travelers fully vaccinated with COVISHIELD/WHO approved/nationally approved vaccines. As a result, people from these countries may be granted certain relaxations as outlined in the Union Health Ministry’s Guidelines on International Arrivals…”
