Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan: On Tuesday night, the lift rope broke at Hindustan Copper’s Kolihan mine in the Neem Ka Thana district, trapping 14 personnel at a depth of 1800 feet.

In the course of the rescue operation, which began yesterday, these, 13 people were taken out safely and 1 officer died.

Fourteen members of the Kolkata vigilance team were inside the mine at the time of the disaster. The rescue effort was launched right away to extract them. All individuals were safely taken out at 11:40 am and given treatment referrals to Jaipur. The Jaipur Manipal Hospital has admitted the rescued officers.

Bhajanlal Sharma, the chief minister of Rajasthan, is keeping an eye on this rescue effort. He has given the concerned officials orders to act quickly to carry out relief and rescue efforts and to give the afflicted individuals every assistance and medical facility that they can get.
