Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, has ordered the establishment of an integrated commission for the selection of teachers for all primary and secondary schools and madrassas, marking a significant step towards introducing transparency to the recruitment of teachers.
Following its establishment, this commission will be responsible for hiring teachers for the state’s madrasas, minority educational institutions, high schools, technical colleges, and primary, secondary, and elementary schools. The Teacher Eligibility Exam will also be administered by this body (TET).
Tuesday, a state government spokeswoman announced that the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission would shortly be established.
