Biporjoy Cyclone: ‘Biparjoy’, a powerful cyclonic storm, has rapidly intensified. Over the past six hours, Biparjoy has been travelling 5 kmph north over the eastern Arabian Sea.
The wind speed is predicted to be between 118 and 166 kmph during this time. In Kerala, the monsoon season will begin in two days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday morning.
Due to the development of a storm known as “Biparjoy” in the Arabian Sea, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning to all ports in Gujarat instructing them to hoist the Distant Warning (DW II) signal.
The Meteorological Department predicts that it will continue north and intensify into a highly dangerous cyclonic storm. It will then proceed in the following three days to the north-northwest.
