ISRO successfully launches XPoSat mission to study black holes

ISRO XPoSat Launch: In space, ISRO made history once more. The X-ray Polarimeter Satellite (XPoSat) was successfully launched by ISRO today from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. This satellite‘s launch will provide India with a wealth of crucial space-related information.

This mission’s unique feature is that ISRO will be able to identify X-ray sources originating from orbit thanks to the XPo satellite. The identity of the celestial body from which these X-rays are emanating will also be disclosed. Furthermore, it will support research into the enigmatic realm of “black holes.”

Expo Satellite was launched by ISRO with the dual goals of gathering data on black holes and uncovering X-ray mysteries. The duration of this mission is five years. NASA, the American space agency, completed this work earlier. This investigation was carried out by NASA in December 2021.

Death of Covid positive patient who came from Dausa in Jaipur, health department alert

In India, the effects of Corona are growing at a rapid pace. In Rajasthan, a patient passed away as a result of corona. A 48-year-old Dausa resident who was receiving treatment in Jaipur for Corona passed away on Thursday afternoon. After learning about the occurrence, the health department was in a frenzy.

According to Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Subhash Bilonia, the man’s family brought him to Dausa District Hospital on December 4 when his health began to deteriorate. However, because of respiratory difficulties, the patient was referred to Jaipur. Thursday afternoon, the patient passed away in the Jaipur hospital while receiving treatment.

Currently, data regarding the individuals who interacted with the Covid positive patient is being gathered. The COVID protocol will isolate every person. On Friday, health officials reaffirmed this, stating that five further tests had come back positive.

Manish Sisodia appears in Rouse Avenue Court, judicial custody of Sisodia extended in Delhi liquor policy scam

Delhi Liquor Policy Scam: On December 22, Manish Sisodia, the former deputy chief minister, appeared at Rouse Avenue Court about the purported Delhi Liquor Policy scam.

Manish Sisodia had his judicial detention extended by Rouse Avenue Court until the next hearing date of January 19, 2024. The accused’s attorney is given until January 15 by the court to view the documents at CBI headquarters.

In addition, the court ordered the CBI to assign enough officers to help with the inspection and to submit a compliance report.

Notably, Manish Sisodia was taken into custody by the CBI on February 26, 2023. In connection with the money laundering investigation, the ED then detained Manish Sisodia.

Tejashwi Yadav will not appear before ED today in the case of land-for-job scam, sources claim

Land For Job Scam: Tejashwi Yadav, the deputy chief minister of Bihar, was called before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) today for the land-for-job scam. However, Tejasvi Yadav will not be appearing before the ED today, as per information obtained from RJD sources, as Tejasvi just returned to Patna from Delhi yesterday. Lalu-Tejashwi was summoned by the ED to appear for questioning on December 22, which is today.

Speaking to reporters at the Patna airport on Thursday night after arriving back from Delhi, Tejashwi had stated that all of this will go on until the Lok Sabha elections. Tejashwi Yadav added that autonomous agencies are being misused by the central government.

HC sentenced Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister to 3 years imprisonment, imposed a fine of Rs 50-50 lakhs

In a case involving disproportionate assets, the Madras High Court on Thursday convicted Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister K. Ponmudy to three years in prison under the Prevention of Corruption Act. As a result, he lost his position as minister and was banned from serving as an MLA.

Based on the information obtained, P Vishalakshi, K. Ponmudy’s wife, was also given a three-year jail sentence by Judge G Jayachandran. Ponmudy and his spouse were also fined Rs 50 lakh apiece by the judge. The minister and his spouse were already found guilty by the High Court and given a sentence today.

To allow him to file a special leave petition before the Supreme Court, senior counsel NR Elango asked the court to grant him leave and suspend the sentence while speaking on behalf of the offenders. In response, the judge delayed the sentence for 30 days and gave 30 days of leave. The judge declared that he would have to turn himself up to the trial court in Villupuram at the end of the suspension time.

Corona havoc started increasing again, 292 new cases of Covid-19 registered in Kerala

The Union Health Ministry has provided data showing that in the past 24 hours, 292 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Kerala, with three of those cases ending in death.

This kind of Corona was first documented in Kerala, but it has now spread to Maharashtra and Goa. Nearly 2000 cases are now active. Regarding this Corona variation, the federal government has previously notified the state governments.

Today morning, 341 new instances of the coronavirus were recorded nationwide, with 292 of those cases occurring in Kerala. This has caused Kerala’s current case count to rise to 2041. With three more deaths, Kerala’s coronavirus death toll now stands at 72,056.

He noted that instructions have been given to hospitals to facilities that isolation wards, oxygen beds, ICU beds, and ventilators are available, as well as to provide particular facilities for COVID-19 patients.
