Shree Cement and Dalmia Cement (Bharat) among successful bidders in e-auction of coal mines

Among the top bidders that received bids under the government’s forward e-auction of coal mines on Monday were Shree Cement and Dalmia Cement (Bharat).

Ten coal mines in total were offered for advance auction, and Dalmia Cement (Bharat) won the Mandla North mine in Madhya Pradesh while Shree Cement received the Datima mine in Chhattisgarh.

The forward e-auction of those mines, whose commercial auctions had been initiated by the Coal Ministry on November 3, 2022, began on Monday.

Manish Sisodia arrested in Delhi Excise Policy scam case; On CBI remand till March 4

CBI remands Sisodia until March 4

In court, the CBI team had stated that Sisodia had not yet been questioned over the excise scam and that more specific information was needed. He required a five-day remand for all of this, and the judge likewise ruled in his favour.

CBI froze 12 bank accounts of middleman Tapas Mandal in teacher recruitment scam

Tapas Mandal, the mediator detained in the case, has had 12 bank accounts frozen by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) agents looking into the crore rupees teacher recruitment scam in West Bengal.

Six of the board’s twelve private bank accounts are tied to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) colleges that they own. At the same time, the other six are private accounts linked to other institutions.

The multi-crore teachers scam in the state has already landed Bhattacharya, his wife Satrupa, and their son Souvik in judicial custody.

CBI investigators are undertaking a parallel investigation into the case with their colleagues in the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The ED will now look into the transactional information of these 12 accounts.

IT Department raids premises of packaging company Uflex for 72 hours, bogus transactions worth Rs 715 crore

The Income Tax Department searched the Uflex Company’s offices for more than 72 hours. In the documents, irregularities in transactions totaling roughly 715 crores have been discovered. Apart from that, 40 shell firms were used to conduct transactions totaling roughly Rs 635 crore.

ED extends Sukesh Chandrasekhar’s remand for 3 days in money laundering case

Sukesh Chandrashekhar, a conman, revealed on Friday that he gave jailed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Satyendar Jain Rs 70 crore of the money he laundered from Japna M Singh. Chandrashekhar said he also informed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) about it in an exclusive interview with CNN-News18.

Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s remand is extended by three days by the ED in a case involving money laundering. The ED said that it required knowledge of payments made to Deepak Ramdani and specific jail employees. Co-accused Deepak Ramdani is also detained by the police for five days by ED.
