West Bengal: There are no indications that the uproar that started in West Bengal’s Sandeshkhali will end. The BJP-formed committee was halted before it even got to Sandeshkhali. These leaders have been stopped citing Section 144.
In actuality, on Wednesday, February 15, BJP National President JP Nadda established a six-member high-level committee to look into the incidences of sexual harassment and violence against women in this area.
On Thursday, the same committee was arriving at the location. The committee will look into the matter and send JP Nadda, the president of the BJP, its full report after it is finished. The committee’s members are Pratibha Bhowmik, Sunita Duggal, Kavita Patidar, Sangeeta Yadav, and Brijlal. Union Minister Annapurna Devi has been appointed as the committee’s coordinator.
