A missed call will allow customers to book cylinders from their registered mobile number starting now. In its statement, Indian Oil stated that this facility would provide relief to people who were not comfortable with the IVRS system.

The number 8454955555 can be called by LPG customers from anywhere in the country to book gas cylinders. By eliminating the need for customers to call for bookings, the company said that they will save customers time. Customers will also not have to pay any charges for the call.

Booking of gas cylinders can also be accomplished through one message. This number has been issued by all gas companies. REFILL is the only thing you have to type. WhatsApp can also be used to track status.

When you have made a booking and want to know its status, this is also available on WhatsApp. The STATUS# of your registered mobile number must be typed along with your order number, which you receive after booking. In the case that your booking number is 12345, then you would have to type STATUS#12345 and WhatsApp message 7588888824. There is no space between STATUS# and the order number.
