There are two new Facebook video-calling devices on the market. By launching Portal Go and Portal+, Facebook is expanding its video calling product portfolio.

The 10-inch portable Portal Go is priced at $199 (Rs 14,737 approximately); while the next-gen Portal+ has a 14-inch HD tilting display priced at $349 ( Rs 25,000 approximately).
Portal Go and Portal+ will begin shipping on October 19; pre-orders are now open at portal.facebook.com.
“With remote work becoming a long-term strategy, distributed teams can benefit from feeling like they’re together in the same room. So we’re reimagining how Portal is used work – at home and in the office – by unlocking opportunities for collaboration in the spaces where business gets done,” the company said in a statement.
With the Portal Go, Facebook offers its first battery-operated hardware. Video calling is the primary purpose of Facebook’s Portal. A new portable version of Portal Smart Camera is Portal Go.

Thanks to an integrated handle and long-lasting battery, this device makes it easy to move conversations between rooms. The Portal Go’s 12 MP camera provides a wide field of view for immersive video calls. In addition to the 12MP Smart Camera; the new 14-inch Portal+ also features an ultrawide field of view.
Zoom, BlueJeans, Cisco’s Webex, and GoToMeeting are now supported in Portal; and Microsoft Teams will be supported in December.
