The newborn son of Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has died. Ronaldo released this information by tweeting late on 18 April. In his message, Ronaldo said, ‘It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that our newborn son has passed away.’ The biggest sorrow for any parent is this. Our baby girl has given us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness. All the doctors and nurses who supported us are to be thanked.

As Ronaldo wrote, we are deeply saddened by this incident and urge everyone to respect privacy. Our son was our angel, and we will love him forever.
In October, Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina announced they were going to be parents to twins. The two also shared a picture from the hospital. At the time of delivery of these two children, the son had passed away, while the newborn daughter is still alive.
