Former PM Nawaz Sharif won from Lahore in Pakistan’s general election, won by so many votes

Pakistan Election Results: More than ten hours after polls closed on Friday, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) released the initial results. The election results in Pakistan indicate a close race between Imran Khan‘s and Nawaz Sharif’s parties.

Around three in the morning on Friday, ECP Special Secretary Zafar Iqbal made the initial results public during a press conference in Islamabad.

Now, in the face of accusations of vote-counting fraud in Pakistan’s general elections, Nawaz Sharif‘s party has advanced. Former prime minister and head of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Nawaz Sharif, has been elected to the NA-130 constituency in Lahore. Nawaz Sharif secured 1,71,024 votes to win the election. He overcame Yasmin Rashid, the candidate backed by the PTI. In Pakistan, the voting process is currently ongoing.

An atmosphere of unrest in Pakistan since the arrest of former PM Imran Khan, many leaders arrested

Since Imran Khan, a former prime minister, was detained on May 9, there has been turmoil in Pakistan. Shah Mehmood Qureshi, a former foreign minister and close ally of Imran Khan, was detained by police on Thursday in the midst of a deteriorating crisis and political unrest in Pakistan.

Imran Khan was previously detained by the anti-corruption organization for eight days on remand by a special court on Wednesday. The army has been stationed in three provinces besides the capital, Islamabad, where protests are still taking place.

Over 1,650 protesters have been detained by the Punjab Police for vandalizing public and private property throughout the province.

On Wednesday, supporters of Imran Khan stormed Shahbaz Sharif‘s home in Lahore. The Prime Minister’s mansion in Model Town Lahore was attacked by approximately 500 miscreants from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party early on Wednesday, according to the police, who then set fire to parked cars there.
