On Monday, the Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA) issued an avalanche warning for a number of Union Territory locations and people should avoid unnecessary trips.

Heavy rain and snowfall alerts in these districts

However, through Friday, rain with thunder and lightning is expected in the lower slopes.

According to Neeraj Kumar, the Deputy Commissioner of Lahaul-Spiti, any type of tourist vehicle (except two-wheelers) will be able to get into the Lahaul Valley from 10 am to 3 pm by utilizing the Atal Tunnel. Further progress is only permitted for those tourists who have booked accommodation in local hotels or homestays. Mr. Neeraj Kumar stated that these conditions will not apply to the locals of Lahaul and Pangi.
On 23 and 24 December, most parts of the state are expected to see clouds, according to the Meteorological Center. The weather may be mild and rainy in Shimla, Kinnaur, Lahaul-Spiti, Chamba, Kullu, and the surrounding areas. It is possible for rain and snow to fall from 26 to 28 December in many areas of the state.
Rain and snow will intensify on the 25th and 26th of December. During this time, there is a possibility of heavy rain and snowfall in and around Shimla, Kinnaur, Lahaul Spiti, Kullu, Sirmaur, Chamba, Kangra, Mandi, Bilaspur, and Solan.
It rained heavily
Himachal Pradesh recorded 73.7 percent heavy rainfall from October 1 to December 22, according to the Meteorological Department. The districts received more rain than usual during this period. Tourists can also visit the Atal Tunnel at the same time. However, the tourist must return to Manali before 4 pm from here. However, if a tourist has reserved accommodation in Lahaul, then the administration will not stop him from going to Lahaul.

Z-Gali Machil in Kupwara, Kangdoori in Gulmarg and Sadnah Top in Karnah were among the upper reaches of Kashmir that experienced fresh snowfall.
The valley was drenched by rains. Fresh snow fell on the Amarnath Cave Temple in Anantnag as well.
Jammu and Kashmir as well as Ladakh experienced a cooling of temperatures. In Srinagar, the minimum temperature was 9.8 degrees Celsius, in Pahalgam, 6.7 degrees Celsius, and in Gulmarg, 1.5 degrees Celsius. According to the Met Office, Leh received 5.6 degrees, while Drass gained 3.1.
Meanwhile; the lowest temperatures of the night were recorded in Jammu at 20, Katra at 15, Batote at 9, Banihal at 8, and Bhaderwah at 9.2.
