ED summons actress Saayoni Ghosh for questioning in West Bengal school recruitment case

Actress-turned-politician and TMC state youth wing president Saayoni Ghosh has been called in for questioning by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is looking into the multi-crore school recruitment scam in West Bengal.

On June 30, she received a summons to the ED central government office (CGO) complex in Salt Lake, which is located on the northern outskirts of Kolkata. Late Tuesday night, sources said Ghosh had received a notice.

Why ED summoned Saayoni?

Sources claim that the investigators discovered the connection between Kuntal Ghosh and Saayoni Ghosh in a case involving real estate. According to sources, Saayoni is the subject of an investigation into a South Kolkata flat. However, ED sources claim that Saayoni’s interrogation could give the recruitment corruption case a fresh turn.

TMC leader Saket Gokhale arrested by Gujarat Police, tweet on Morbi bridge accident is the case

Cattle Smuggling Case- CBI arrested TMC leader Anubrata Mandal for animal smuggling

Anubrata Mandal, the president of the Trinamool in Birbhum District, was detained by the CBI in connection with a West Bengali Cattle Smuggling case. On Wednesday at 11 a.m., he was required to present at Nizam’s Palace (the CBI office). After the performance, he was detained.

Anubrata Mandal is charged with transporting animals. In this instance, the CBI had called the Trinamool leader on multiple occasions. He didn’t show up, though, citing an illness. After being transported there, he was brought to SSKM Hospital on Monday, where medical professionals determined that Anubrata did not require hospitalization.

Anubrata Mondal had previously received a summons from the CBI to appear on Monday as well, but he was admitted to the hospital due to illness. and in the evening left towards Bolpur from there. Before departing for Bolpur, he received a further CBI notice requesting his appearance on Wednesday. He was detained by the CBI after his Wednesday appearance.

Media reports state that Anubrata Mandal requested in a letter to the CBI that the production’s appreciation period be prolonged by two weeks. “The doctors instructed us to take total rest, hence we cannot leave our house,” Mandal had said in the letter. Additionally, Mandal had attached to the CBI the slips of the medical staff at the SSKM and Bolpur hospitals.

Following Partha Chatterjee’s incarceration, the BJP in West Bengal stepped up its campaign against the Trinamool Congress. Partha Chatterjee was removed from the party even though the Trinamool Congress intervened in the case.
