Jansadharan Express Danapur-Anand Vihar Terminal is 11 hours, Gorakhpur-LTT Express is 10 hours, Anand Vihar Terminal-Danapur is 9 hours, LTT-Gorakhpur Weekly Express is 6 hours, Howrah-Dehradun Kumbh Express is 4.30 hours, Gondia-Barauni Express is 4 hours, Pune-Darbhanga Express arrived at Cantt station 3.45 hours later than expected, and Bahraich-Varanasi City Intercity Express is two hours late. Riders endured hours of waiting due to delayed trains.

Difficulty in traveling due to fog, 243 trains canceled and many late; check status here

Due to issues with fog and other wintertime operations, Indian Railway has canceled 243 trains today, December 24, while another 29 have been partially canceled. These trains range from express mail to passenger and special trains. In addition, several trains are operating later than expected owing to fog.

The National Train Inquiry System reports that today 243 trains have been canceled, 29 trains have been rescheduled, and 31 trains have been redirected. Because of this, rail travelers today must confirm the condition of their train before departing from home.

The Naxalites have targeted the section of railway that runs from New Delhi to Howrah via Gaya-Dhanbad.

A bomb has exploded on the Up and Down track between Chichaki and Choudhary dam of the Saria police station area in Giridih district of Jharkhand. The blast damaged the track, as well as disrupted the movement of trains on this route. Naxalites are reported to have exploded around 12:15 pm when they reached this area. After receiving information, the Giridih Police team reached the spot.

The trains were affected

Several trains, including the Ganga Damodar and Lokmanya Tilak Express, have been halted at various stations due to this incident. While efforts to normalize the situation have been made immediately. Police and CRPF are conducting a search operation in the surrounding area at the same time. Since the attack by the Naxalites, many trains have been rerouted and some have also been canceled.
