Due to rain and fog 12 flights canceled and many trains delayed, passengers created ruckus at the airport

On Thursday, 12 flights from Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport to and from various places were canceled due to rain and fog. Over 2160 passengers have to deal with issues as a result. This infuriated the travelers, who raised a fuss at the airport.

There were further delays on Indigo’s flights to Ahmedabad, Goa, Bhubaneshwar, and Mumbai on Akasa Air, and Sharjah on Air India Express.

On Thursday, the Darbhanga-Ahmedabad Antyodaya Express arrived 18.30 hours later than expected. The Dehradun-Howrah Upasana Express was 13 hours late.

Jansadharan Express Danapur-Anand Vihar Terminal is 11 hours, Gorakhpur-LTT Express is 10 hours, Anand Vihar Terminal-Danapur is 9 hours, LTT-Gorakhpur Weekly Express is 6 hours, Howrah-Dehradun Kumbh Express is 4.30 hours, Gondia-Barauni Express is 4 hours, Pune-Darbhanga Express arrived at Cantt station 3.45 hours later than expected, and Bahraich-Varanasi City Intercity Express is two hours late. Riders endured hours of waiting due to delayed trains.

Due to issues with fog and other wintertime operations, Indian Railway has canceled 243 trains today, December 24, while another 29 have been partially canceled. These trains range from express mail to passenger and special trains. In addition, several trains are operating later than expected owing to fog.
