Delhi Election: In a significant political shift just before the Delhi assembly elections, the Congress party faced another setback as three-time MLA Veer Singh Dhinghan switched to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Arvind Kejriwal, AAP’s national convenor, warmly welcomed Dhinghan into the party by presenting him with the party’s sash and cap. Dhinghan has previously represented the Seemapuri constituency. Notably, this seat was earlier held by AAP MLA Rajendra Pal Gautam, who recently joined the Congress.

Explaining his decision, Dhinghan expressed admiration for the policies and efforts of AAP and its leader, Arvind Kejriwal. “I am inspired by the honest work being done by AAP for Dalits and backward communities. From today, I pledge to serve the people as a proud member of the Aam Aadmi Party,” he stated.
