Elon Musk has long claimed that the company would seek to make the platform more accessible to video makers before he took control of Twitter.
Today, Twitter made the announcement on the Twitter Blue site that users may now submit videos from the web that are 60 minutes long, 1080p, and 2GB in size.
Before the change, Twitter Blue subscribers could submit 1080p videos with a file size cap of 512MB that was up to 10 minutes long. Sadly, this limit still applies if you upload from an iOS or Android device.
The subject of how to make money out of these videos has also been raised. Longer clips on YouTube have many advertisements; however, it’s unclear at this time whether Twitter has any such plans.
