Singer KK has passed away hours after a concert in Kolkata. On his official Instagram page, he shared images from a concert he gave in an auditorium in Kolkata about 10 hours ago.

Following his concert at the Nazrul Manch auditorium in Kolkata today, KK was reported to have fallen down the stairs of the hotel where he was staying. According to NDTV, a spokesperson for CMRI Hospital confirmed that the singer had died.

In the late 1990s, he became famous for songs like ‘Pal’ and ‘Yaaron’ that became big hits among teenagers. In school and college farewells as well as other cultural events, they were often heard.

‘Pal’, his 1999 debut album, was very well received by critics. His career in playback singing began in the early 2000s when he began recording popular songs for Bollywood films. In addition to Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, and Bengali, he recorded songs in several other languages.

The body of KK is being taken to the Versova Hindu crematorium. His last journey has left his house for the funeral of Singer. Everyone’s eyes are moist and there is a deep pain in the heart.
