It may not have been the ideal start for Royal Challengers Bangalore, but the team’s performance was quite good. As batsmen, Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli showed their heart and courage. Virat Kohli broke Australia’s explosive opener David Warner’s record with his 41-run knock.

Kohli scored 41 runs off 29 balls while the captain scored 88 runs off 57 balls. With the bat, the former captain hit one four and two sixes but scored runs at a strike rate of 141.
