The developer of the well-known messaging service WhatsApp is always adding new features to enhance the chatting experience for its users. This new function has a security feature. The company will soon offer users the email address link capability. WhatsApp previously announced security features including account safeguard and device verification in April.
The company is now introducing the capability of email address links for consumers in light of the rising instances of cybercrime and WhatsApp scam. This will greatly improve the security of your WhatsApp account and make it exceedingly difficult for anyone to hack into it.
To give users of the app the option to link their accounts with emails, WhatsApp has issued the Android 2.23.16.15 beta version. WhatsApp’s new security feature will be entirely optional.
This feature is currently being tested, and only a small number of beta testers have been given access to it. If all of the testing goes perfectly, it will shortly be made available to all users.
