Violence broke out again in Manipur

The home of a Union Minister in Manipur, northeastern India, was attacked last night by a mob. Since May 3, there has been caste violence in Manipur between the Kuki and Meitei communities because of reservations. Over 100 persons have passed away. Late on Thursday night, there was further violence.

The Imphal home of BJP MP and Union Minister of State for External Affairs Rajkumar Ranjan Singh was set on fire by certain individuals. In the past 20 days, there have been four attacks on the homes of Manipur’s ministers and legislators.

These particulars were given by the officers. He claimed that the security personnel fired tear gas shells and used physical force to scatter the gathering at New Chacon in Imphal.
