The Bengali film industry has lost one of its most versatile actors in Abhishek Chatterjee. Abhishek Chatterjee, who was 57 years old, passed away today, on 24th March. It is reported that Abhishek has been very ill for the past few days, according to reports in the online media. It is not yet known what caused his death.

According to TOI, Abhishek Chatterjee was shooting for a show yesterday i.e. on March 23 when suddenly his health deteriorated. He fell several times on the set, after which he was taken care of by the crew.

The actor Abhishek Chatterjee, who has appeared in many Bengali films, is currently working in the Bengali TV show Khorkuto. Trina Saha and Kaushik Roy also played important roles with him in this show. The sudden death of Abhishek Chatterjee shocked the Bengali film industry as well as his fans.
As well, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee condoled the death of Mr. Abhishek Chatterjee. In one of her tweets, Mamata Banerjee wrote, “Saddened to hear about Abhishek Chatterjee’s sudden passing.” He performed extremely well and was very versatile in his performance. They will be missed.
