FIR lodged against BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya for tweeting about Rahul Gandhi

Amit Malviya, the head of the BJP‘s IT unit, had an FIR filed against him on Wednesday at the High Grounds police station in Bengaluru for his tweets criticising Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress.

The police filed an FIR against Malviya under sections 153A, 120B, 505(2), and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in response to a complaint made by Congress leader Ramesh Babu.

BJP national president JP Nadda, BJP IT cell chairman Amit Malviya, and BJP’s Chandigarh unit president Arun Sood have all been accused of allegedly tampering with the video of Congressman Rahul Gandhi‘s speech on June 19 by Karnataka’s Minister of Information Technology and Biotechnology Priyank Kharge.
