A surcharge has also been charged on mobile recharge by PhonePe before Paytm. The user from whom Paytm is currently charging surcharge is giving notification in the form of surcharge to those customers while recharging. Users of Paytm on Twitter claim that a surcharge has been added to digital wallet payments as a convenience fee. These surcharges apply to all transactions over Rs 100.

To increase revenue Paytm charges its users surcharges. According to a tweet by Paytm on Twitter, it will not charge a convenience fee or transaction fee to its customers on any type of payment, including UPI and Wallet. Similar to Paytm, PhonePe began charging surcharges in October. However, it could not be confirmed from both PhonePe and Paytm for what reason they are charging a surcharge.

Talking about the top losers, there were Hindalco Services, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Fin Services, Kotak Bank, and IndusInd Bank. In today’s trading session in the stock market, selling is being seen in almost all the sectors on Monday.

In today’s trading session, buying is being seen in 494 shares and there is a sell-off period in 2030 shares. Apart from this, no change is being seen in 100 shares.

US market also down

On the other hand, there was a decline in the global market as well. In Friday’s trading session, the US market was badly broken and the Dow Jones closed at the day’s low by breaking 880 points. UPI payments will be made using RuPay cards

Following the Monetary Policy Committee meeting in June (2022), RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das shared this information. In order to promote digital transactions, the Reserve Bank plans to offer UPI payments through credit cards.
