Madhya Pradesh: Raja Pateria, a Congress member who caused controversy with his threat to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was taken into custody by the Madhya Pradesh Police from Damoh today, or Tuesday.

When Pateria arrived at the Pawai Rest House in Panna to represent the District Congress Committee for a meeting of Mandal Sector Presidents, he made this statement. Following his remarks, a number of Bharat Janata Party officials voiced their displeasure.
