Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party (PTI), declared before entering the courtroom that he respected the judiciary. I’m about to make a court appearance.

He had stated that he would not halt the Prison Bharo movement and that the government was in charge of all of my protection while he was making his way to the High Court. At 5.30 p.m., Imran Khan was produced before the Lahore High Court, following which the hearing on him began.

Imran Khan was accused of receiving foreign funds in violation of the Foreign Exchange Act, for several of his allies. The case against his party stems from allegations of significant irregularities in the party’s foreign donor funding made by Akbar S. Babar, a founding member of PTI, in 2014.
