The Indian Army in Jaipur has marked the 50th anniversary of the 1971 Indo-Pak War with a day of remembrance called Swarnim Vijay Varsh, which celebrated the victory. A motorcycle stunt show and an air show were performed by Army personnel. A defence weapons exhibition was held at the Chitrakot Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday, hosted by the Indian Army’s South Western Command.
Swarnim Vijay Varsh remembered the bravery of Indian soldiers who defended the country during the 1971 war as well as the selfless sacrifices they made.

An Indian army official commented on the exhibition held in Jaipur, “We displayed the defence equipment on display to make people aware of what the Indian army has achieved. By showcasing these types of equipment, we hope to motivate the youth.”
Under PM Modi’s leadership, the events were launched in order to make Indians aware of their armed forces. In order to continue the move, we are also arranging events of this kind”. Officials emphasized that every citizen should be aware of the 1971 war, as all Indians remember the victory over Pakistan.
