By launching his own collection of digital tokens, he follows in the footsteps of Indian celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan and Sunny Leone, which will be exclusive to those who invest in them. More and more celebrities are also signing up for NFTs in India, proving that there is a growing interest.

Haasan said he’s looking forward to exploring the new venture on his birthday, which fell on November 7. “I am very excited about exploring the emerging intersection of the physical and digital worlds, commonly referred to as the metaverse. My life’s journey has blurred distinctions between personal and professional life, and this is my offering to the metaverse,” he said in a statement.

The actor-turned-politician has introduced his own line of NFT collectibles through Fantico, a licensed digital collectible platform in India. His fan engagement platform will also feature his digital avatars. A game-based metaverse will also be launched by Fantico exclusively for Haasan, offering him entry into the world of gaming.

Having the actor’s fans and followers interact with him on his own terms will allow their engagement to grow, and since the facility is digital, it will be accessible around the world. Moreover, it enables access to his digital avatars, the purchase of souvenirs as NFTs, and the option of a meet and greet session. Fans will be able to purchase Haasan’s souvenirs in a physical form in addition to NFTs.

In order to bring the star to life, Fanico will first launch his collection of NFT. The blockchain is a digital ledger that includes data that certifies each digital asset is unique and therefore cannot be exchanged. Data on the blockchain is referred to as NFTs. In addition to representing digital files, NFTs can also represent items such as photos, videos, and audio.

“We are very pleased to announce that we will be launching India’s first game-based metaverse. Fantico CEO told ET in a statement that having a legend such as Kamal Haasan on its platform would set the trend for more creators to adapt to the future of fan engagement. According to the actor, fans will be able to purchase NFTs in the form of posters, avatars, and movies.

A metaverse museum will also be dedicated to the star, according to the announcement. Fantico is also in the process of adding actors, sportspeople, studios, and other such people to the metaverse, according to Singh.

In an auction organized by Beyondlife.Club, megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s NFT ‘Madhushala’ collection of autographed posters and collectibles received bids of around 7.18 crore. NFTs were sold for the highest price ever in India. November 1 was the start and November 4 was the end of the auction. It was the ‘Madhushala’ NFT collection – a poem written by Amitabh Bachchan and recited by him – that enjoyed the most success during the auction.
