A 19-year-old tennis player from Spain won the championship match at the US Open 2022. 6-4, 2-6, 7-6, 6-3 was the score in the men’s singles championship for the Spanish player against Norwegian Casper Ruud. Three hours and twenty minutes were spent on the game.
When Alcarez was serving with the score at 5-6 and Ruud had two set points, it became vital. Alcaraz not only avoided both set points but also prevailed in the tiebreaker to take the set. Alcaraz performed significantly better in the tiebreaker and won 2-1. He comfortably won the fourth set, the match, and the championship.
