ED’s big action in fake Ayushman card case, raids at 19 places, Congress leaders’ houses also searched

In the case of creating fake Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana ID cards, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken significant action. The ED has conducted 19 raids.

The ED is searching 19 places in Himachal Pradesh, including Delhi, Chandigarh, Punjab, Kangra, Una, Shimla, Mandi, and Kullu, in the case of violation of the scheme.

Numerous hospitals, notably Banke Bihari Hospital and Fortis Hospital, have received numerous medical bills on these fictitious cards, which has resulted in losses for both the public and the government coffers. The identities of two Himachal Pradesh Congress leaders have gained prominence.

The name of RS Bali, a Congress member of the legislative assembly from Nagrota, Himachal Pradesh, who also serves as vice president of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Board and chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, has surfaced. In addition, the fraud has brought to light the names of Congressman Dr. Rajesh Sharma and Shri Balaji Hospital in Kangra.

Big success of Anti-Gangster Task Force in Punjab, Gangster Taranjit Singh alias Jassa killed in encounter

In Pirmuchhalla, Zirakpur, Punjab, the Anti-Gangster Task Force, and miscreants had an encounter. In the Zirakpur incident, two rounds struck Taranjit Singh, the henchman of terrorist Harvinder Rinda. In the incident, gangster Taranjit Singh, also known as Jassa Haibowalia, was slain.

ED raids the residence of former Forest Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, search continues at Amloh house

Punjab: In connection to the alleged forest scam, the Enforcement Directorate conducted raids at various locations in Punjab, including the home of former Congress minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot. The former minister’s home in Amloh’s Ward No. 6 was raided by a Jalandhar ED team.

Early this morning, the ED conducted a raid on Sadhu Singh’s Amloh residence. There is news that Sadhu Singh Dharamsot is not at home at this period. At home, there are his wife and son. Meanwhile, ED’s action against Sadhu Singh Dharamsot continues.

Let us inform you that Sadhu Singh Dharamsot served as the Chief Minister of the Congress under Captain Amarinder Singh. In addition to Dharamsot, the ED has also raided the homes of close relatives of some of the forest department’s contractors. ED raids AAP MLA Kulwant Singh’s house and office in liquor scam

At approximately eight in the morning, a team from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted simultaneous raids on the Mohali-based AAP MLA Kulwant Singh’s office and residence. Since this morning, the team has been scanning documents at his house and business.

This is being done in relation to the liquor scam case, based on information obtained from sources. Officials haven’t yet verified this, though. Regarding the raid, the MLA and his staff have not replied.

In the liquor scam, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has been arrested by the CBI. CM Arvind Kejriwal has now received a notification from the ED about the scam involving Delhi’s liquor policy. On November 2, the Chief Minister was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate for an interrogation.

ED restricted Punjabi officials in charge of liquor policy from traveling overseas without authorization.

NIA raids 10 places in Punjab, Haryana in case against Khalistan Tiger Force

In connection with a case involving the banned terrorist group Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF), the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted searches at ten locations in Punjab and Haryana on Tuesday.

In relation to a criminal conspiracy established to raise money for a designated terrorist organisation as well as cross-border smuggling of weapons, ammunition, and explosives, raids are being undertaken at nine locations in Punjab and one location in Haryana.

2 blasts in 36 hours near Amritsar Golden Temple, one person injured

The inquiry into the bomb was still ongoing late on Saturday night in Amritsar, close to the Saragarhi parking lot near Sri Harmandir Sahib, then on Monday at around 6.30 am, there was another blast. According to reports, one individual was hurt.

Mobile internet services have been suspended in Punjab until noon on March 21

Imaan Singh Khara, the legal counsel for “Waris Punjab De,” said late on Sunday that fugitive pro-Khalistan preacher Amritpal Singh had been apprehended by the Punjab Police at the Shahkot police station.

Lawyer Imaan Singh Khara asserted that Amritpal Singh had been detained at Shahkot Police Station, defying Punjab Police’s assertion that he was still at large and that search operations were ongoing to find him.

The suspension of Internet access in Punjab has now been extended by the provincial government until March 21 at noon.

Following a police raid on “Waris Punjab De” leader Amritpal Singh and his supporters, internet connections were shut down in the state on March 18 till midday on March 19. Then, the restriction was extended until noon on March 20.

Punjab Budget 2023: Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab presented the second full budget of its tenure, know all the big announcements

The second budget of Punjab’s Bhagwant Mann government (AAP), which is also its first detailed budget, was delivered today. Punjab’s budget for the fiscal year 2023–24 is Rs 1,96,462 crore, or 26% greater than the budget for the prior year, according to state finance minister Harpal Singh Cheema, who made the announcement in front of the assembly.

Cheema claimed that I had made a commitment to increase funding in my previous budget. Steps to raise farmers’ incomes will be one of this year’s focus topics. The Aam Aadmi Party government delivered on its election pledge to give Punjabi families 300 units of free electricity units per month.

During the fiscal year 2023–2024, Harpal Cheema announced capital expenditures of Rs. 11,000 782 crores. This budget is 22 percent higher than the prior one. The Punjab government, according to him, has taken action to encourage agricultural diversification.

Punjab Budget Highlights:

  • The border region has received a 40 crore budget allocation in the Punjab government’s budget for the first time.
  • In its first year, the Punjab government gave 26,797 young people permanent work. The necessary steps are being taken to fill 22,594 positions.
  • The Finance Minister indicated in his budget that Rs 26,295 crore will be allotted to the improvement of Punjab’s infrastructure. This represents an increase of 13% from the prior year.
  • The budget includes Rs 3,319 crore for panchayats and rural development. 11% more than the previous year.
  • An amount of Rs. 7,780 crores was given to residential consumers to get power subsidies.
  • A budget of Rs 990 crore has been proposed to support state university education in Punjab by offering help to various state universities.
  • A budgetary provision of Rs 4,781 crore has been made for health and family welfare for the fiscal year 2023–24. Comparative to last year, this is up 11%.

CBI raids more than 50 places including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi in FCI scam, Rs 60 lakh recovered

As part of the Food Corporation of India (FCI) scam, CBI raids are underway at more than 50 locations including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Chandigarh.

According to a CBI spokesperson, Rajeev Mishra, the FCI DGM, has been taken into custody. More than 50 locations have been searched by FCI officials (technical assistants and ED level officers) in relation to the network of grain dealers and millers and other distributors of food grains.

In searches at more than 50 locations connected to the acquisition, storage, and distribution of FCI, 60 lakh rupees have so far been collected.
