Major rail accident in West Bengal, goods train collided with Kangchenjunga Express, eight dead and 25 injured in the accident

Kangchenjunga Express Train Accident: In the West Bengal area of Darjeeling, a freight train collided with the Kangchenjunga Express train. In addition to numerous injuries recorded, the disaster has claimed the lives of eight people.

At the scene, relief and rescue operations are underway. Rescue squads have also arrived at the location. The incident happened close to New Jalpaiguri station, near Nijbari station.

Five passengers have perished in the mishap, according to Darjeeling Police’s Additional Superintendent of Police Abhishek Roy. Twenty to twenty-five are hurt. The situation is dire. According to him, the Kangchenjunga Express and a freight train collided to cause the disaster.

13 passengers died, 54 people were injured in Andhra Pradesh train accident, PM announced compensation

Andhra Pradesh Train Accident Updates: There have been 54 injuries and 13 confirmed deaths as a result of the train accident that happened on Sunday night in the Andhra Pradesh district of Vizianagaram. Every wounded person has been admitted to the hospital.

Bullet train will run in 2026

The Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train project is the dream project of the government, says Ashwini Vaishnav. Ahmedabad and Mumbai will be connected by India’s first bullet train in 2026. In Gujarat, the first bullet train will be run between Surat and Bilimora on time, after the project’s work is progressing rapidly.

Features of bullet train

In Gujarat and Mumbai, 520 kilometers will be covered by a bullet train. The bullet train will reach Mumbai at 320 kmph, passing through 12 stations along the way. With the bullet train, distances that currently take six hours to cover will be covered in three hours. This project will cost about Rs 1.1 lakh crore.

Bullet trains are being built in India with the help of Japan through the Japan International Cooperation Agency, which will bear 80 percent of the costs. Currently, work is being done on a distance of 150 km within its first phase. The work is proceeding as planned.
