Controversy over Hanuman Dhwaj campaign in Karnataka, Bajrang Dal started protest against removal of flag

Karnataka News: The state of Karnataka saw the beginning of the Hanuman Dhwaj campaign by Bajrang Dal and Hindu organizations, who also condemned the removal of the Hanuman Dhwaj in Keragodu village, Mandya district, which created controversy.

In addition to announcing that the campaign would run till February 9th, Bajrang Dal called on people to recite the Hanuman Chalisa in front of every district commissioner’s office in the state.

According to K.R. Sunil, the Bajrang Dal Karnataka South Province Coordinator, the Hanuman flag removal incident in the Mandya district has caused religious anguish to Hindus.

The residents of Keragodu village staged a protest on Sunday when the officials arrived and began taking the flag. On the location, police were also called. Upon the officers’ attempts to persuade the locals, they lost their cool and began to cause trouble. The police were then forced to use lathi charges.

By making a commotion, the infuriated citizens vented their resentment of the Congress administration and Congress MLA from Mandya Ganiga Ravikumar. There were also protests against the Siddaramaiah government using slogans. The police were then forced to use lathi charges.

Keragodu residents and those of the twelve neighboring villages have raised funds and had a flagpole erected next to the Rangamandir. Workers from the BJP and JD (S) were also actively involved in its founding.

Ramandeep Kaur, the Chief Civil Judge of Sangrur (Senior Division), has ordered Kharge to appear before the court on July 10.

Following Hitesh Bhardwaj’s petition to the Hindu Security Council, action was taken against Kharge. Al Qaeda, SIMMI, and PFI were mentioned in comparisons of Bajrang to such anti-national groups. The petitioner described it as a disparaging remark directed at Bajrang Dal.
