Controversy over half map poster of Indian map in Congress’ Belagavi conference, BJP accuses

A heated political debate has erupted nationwide over the map of India displayed on posters at the Congress‘ Belagavi convention in Karnataka. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused the Congress of showing an incomplete map that portrays Kashmir as part of Pakistan.

BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya criticized the map in a post on Twitter. He alleged that the hoardings at the event, which featured images of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi, displayed a distorted map of India. “The Congress has put up an incomplete map at the Belagavi event, showing Kashmir as part of Pakistan,” he wrote.

BJP leader Shehzad Poonawala also condemned the Congress for the map. He accused the party of promoting a divisive agenda, stating, “This reflects the Congress’ ‘break India’ mindset. Their distorted map shows Jammu and Kashmir as part of Pakistan and China. This is not the first time Congress has done this—it aligns with their history of supporting narratives that weaken India’s unity.”

The controversy stems from the depiction of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Aksai Chin missing from the map shown on the banners. The Congress had organized the event to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi taking over as Congress President in 1924. Notably, it was in Belagavi that Gandhi chaired the Congress Working Committee a century ago.

I kept screaming but no one tried to open the door…I pushed the door very hard and opened it and went to the room of the State General Secretary but he kept sitting with his shoes off. No one stood up, no one called that man, no one asked what happened?…”

Big blow to Congress in Himachal, Tajinder Singh Bittu close to Priyanka Gandhi joins BJP

Following the Himachal Pradesh Rajya Sabha elections, the Congress party has been encountering successive challenges. Tajinder Singh submitted his resignation letter to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge today. He said in the letter, “With immediate effect, I tender my resignation from the post of Secretary-cum-in-charge of AICC, Himachal Pradesh, and the primary membership of the Indian National Congress.”

West Bengal Congress leader Koustav Bagchi resigns from the party, may join BJP

Leader and advocate of the West Bengal Congress and party member Koustav Bagchi resigned from the party on Wednesday, citing the party’s top command as having “more interest in forging a friendship with the TMC than strengthening the state party unit” and viewing “the Trinamool Congress as its West Bengal unit.”

There are several rumors that Bagchi will probably join the BJP before the next Lok Sabha elections.

In his letter, Bagchi said, “I believe the urge for forging an alliance by our Top Leadership with the TMC is nothing but a blatant insult to those loyal soldiers of the Congress party only for some parochial interests and/or gains of certain leaders and their associates…Without hesitation, I can firmly say that in the present day scenario, the Indian National Congress has lost its political character.”

Advocate Koustav Bagchi gained fame last year when he was detained by the police for remarks he made about West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Later, he shaved his head and declared that he would stay bald as long as the TMC government in the state was in power.

On Wednesday, Bagchi, one of the Congress spokespersons in the state, said he has tendered his resignation letter to the Congress high command and West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee (WBPCC) president Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.

CM Siddaramaiah in trouble, court imposes fine on many ministers including Karnataka CM
