Weather Update: News of relief in the midst of summer, it will rain in these areas today

In many parts of North-West India, the heat is intensifying day by day. The heat of May-June has already begun to be felt in April. India’s north is experiencing an increase in temperature. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the next couple of days will be heavy in Delhi-NCR. There will actually be an increase in temperature, as well as the effects of the heatwave lasting longer.

In April, the India Meteorological Department predicts that there is a possibility of more severe heat and heatwaves in Northwest India and adjoining areas of Central India. Northwest India and areas adjacent to Central India will have temperatures above average, according to the Meteorological Department. It will start from Gujarat, and Rajasthan, and head eastward to Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

According to the Meteorological Department, for the next three days, the heatwave will continue in northern parts of Gujarat as well as Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, South Punjab, and South Haryana, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand. Over the next five days, heatwave conditions will continue in some parts of Himachal Pradesh.

MD predicted that the severe heatwave conditions will be significantly worse in April as opposed to March, and they are expected to last into April 15 in some areas. Specifically, the Meteorological Department said the current wave of severe heat started primarily over western Rajasthan and adjoining areas of Gujarat and west Madhya Pradesh on March 27.

In the last 122 years, this year’s March is the hottest in India. We can inform you that in the plains, severe heat is declared when temperatures exceed 40 °C and the minimum temperature is 4.5 °C above normal.

Many areas are likely to experience rain today. Andaman and Nicobar will experience rain today. Skymet Weather predicts rain in Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, and others. It may rain simultaneously in Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, and Kerala. There will still be heatwaves in states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu, and Uttar Pradesh.

Rajasthan is likely to experience rain in many districts, know full news

Rajasthan is experiencing an accelerated winter because of the continuous fall in mercury. Today, it seems that the weather is changing according to the forecast of the Meteorological Department. In Jaipur, there is a feeling of coolness. Sikar district recorded a temperature of 2.8 degrees this morning. The temperature in the Sikar district was measured by the Fatehpur Meteorological Center.

Two days ago, the Meteorological Department predicted a change in the weather. Rajasthan may once again see rain, according to the Meteorological Department. In Udaipur and Kota, rain is expected today. Winter will be even longer as a result.

Meteorological Department officials say the weather will change today, Wednesday. As a result, there is a chance of rain in many areas of Rajasthan between 17 and 19 November. During these days, easterly winds will affect Rajasthan. The result is that rain may occur in many thunderstorm areas in some parts of South-East Rajasthan.

The Meteorological Department says that Ajmer, Udaipur, and Jaipur divisions, including the Kota division of Rajasthan, are likely to get wet on November 18 and 19.

The mercury reaches 7 degrees in Churu and Bhilwara

A temperature of 6.1 degrees Celsius was recorded in Chittorgarh on Monday night. According to Churu and Bhilwara, it came to a degree of 7-7. In Hanumangarh, it was 8.0 degrees Celsius. Jhunjhunu district’s Pilani recorded 8.5, Sikar 8.5, and Jaipur 12.1 degrees Celsius.

Winter and summer records were broken in some parts of Rajasthan

During the winter season, Churu city in Shekhawati and Fatehpur town sometimes experience temperatures below freezing. The mercury dips below zero during the winter season.

After Tamil Nadu, now it rains in Kerala, IMD issued an alert

There has been heavy rain in Tamil Nadu for the last several days. Kerala is now in the grip of an emergency situation. There has been an Orange Alert issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Kerala. Six districts have been warned of heavy rains today. As well as this alert, five other districts have issued a similar one as well for Sunday.

In the last four days, heavy rains have fallen over parts of coastal Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. The effect of this cyclonic storm was caused by a deep depression in the Bay of Bengal, which intensified into a cyclonic storm.

Several places in Kerala have been warned of heavy to very heavy rain by the Meteorological Department. According to the IMD, Kerala will experience rain and thunder for the next three days (November 16).

If the rain continues in Kerala’s Idukki district, collector Sheeba George said Cheruthani Dam shutters may be opened on Saturday and Sunday.

The Kerala coast is likely to receive rain on Saturday, and a heavy rain warning has been issued for Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, and Ernakulam on November 14.

Chennai roads submerged due to heavy rains, water entered the house

Rain has been pouring heavily in Chennai since the night before. A total of 21 centimeters of rain fell on the city today until 8.30 am, flooding low-lying areas.

Heavy rain was predicted for this morning by the India Meteorological Department. In south Chennai, Sangeeta Rajesh describes how water enters her apartment at Pujithivakkam near Madipakkam. She said, “There is water in the car park. There are three nearby under-construction sites that stopped rainwater, so water is entering homes.”

Through KK Nagar, Chennai, knee-deep water was encountered. Today, Dr. Raghavan was dropping off his father at the airport when he said, “The interior of KK Nagar has knee-deep water at all intersections, which makes working on the incomplete sewage/metro waterworks of the area tough and dangerous.” Anna Nagar is suffering from flooding in many areas. Several cars and two-wheelers were partially submerged in the water caused by waterlogging on the roads.

Several houses in Chennai have been damaged by water, says resident Mary Bano. The water reaches the waist in some places. An electrical outage and a drainage issue have occurred on 10th street in my lane.

Chembarambakkam Lake will release water this afternoon, as all the lakes in and around Chennai are full. 82.35 ft of water have been recorded in the 85.4 ft high area of the lake.

Several districts along the Adyar River have been warned of flooding, especially Kancheepuram and Chengalpattu.

Heavy rain caused cracks in Balason Bridge in Siliguri, West Bengal, traffic was diverted

Siliguri News: Due to heavy rainfall in the Siliguri region since 20th Oct 2021, a pillar of the Balason Bridge at Matigara has been damaged. A traffic suspension has been implemented temporarily over the bridge for safety reasons. The Balason bridge is currently only open to two-wheelers and pedestrians.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in Siliguri, Gaurav Sharma, examined the bridge, and police were instructed not to allow heavy vehicles to pass. The area has been heavily patrolled by police officers.

The Shiv Mandir underpass has been closed to all three-wheelers and heavy vehicles, so they should turn right and take Noukaghat Road instead. Until the weather improves, it is advised to avoid non-essential travel.

In Mahanadi (Kurseong to Sukna), landslides occurred due to heavy rain on Tuesday. Rohini Road and Pankabari Road, however, are open for traffic.

Heavy rains have caused damage to the Balason bridge, according to Police Commissioner Gaurav Sharma. Until the bridge is completely repaired, traffic has been diverted for the time being.

Alert issued in landslide-prone area amid fear of heavy rains in Kerala

Kerala News: Kerala, already soaked by rain, is forecast to receive more rain from Wednesday onward. IMD predicts extremely heavy to very heavy rains in the Eastern Ghat belt and hills of the state.

First time in Kerala, the government is in the process of evacuating people in landslide-prone areas in the eastern hills, while fishermen are being hired by district administrations to help evacuate people from low-lying districts.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan urged people living near rivers and in hills to be extremely vigilant. Due to the end of the southwest monsoon, the chances for landslides and river overflows are very high. Residents of houses that the state disaster management authority has previously identified as unsafe should move to safer areas immediately. We have instructed the district administrations to compulsorily relocate people who live in unfit houses and those living near riversides,” he said.

An alert has been sounded in landslide-prone areas of the state by the state disaster management authority. People in many districts have been encouraged to move away from slopes prone to landslides by the revenue department.

Last week, landslides and flooding severely affected the district of Kottayam. 33 areas in the district have been identified as landslide-prone.

According to Dr. P K Jayasree, the District Collector for the area, the Geological Survey of India has identified these landslide-prone areas, so people in these areas should seek safer ground. “We will take steps to evacuate them to camps if they don’t move out voluntarily,” she said.

After the water level rose above the danger mark, shutters were opened on four dams including three on Idukki reservoir. Water from Idukki will be released into the Periyar River, which will flow downstream to Ernakulam and Idukki. People living in low-lying areas and river basins are being relocated to relief camps since dams are being opened and heavy rains are forecast.

Jafar Malik, the Ernakulam District Collector, said, “The water will reach Aluva in Ernakulam by midnight when it is released from Idukki reservoir.” Water levels are unlikely to rise significantly if there is no rain. The situation could change at any moment due to heavy rains.”

West Bengal is likely to experience heavy rainfall, cyclone alerts issued in these states

A cyclone alert has been issued for Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) report. However, heavy rain is expected in many parts of West Bengal on Saturday.

A deep depression has developed over northeast India and the east-central Bay of Bengal, the weather department said. This cyclone may intensify into a tropical cyclone known as Cyclone Gulab and move southward towards Odisha and northern Andhra Pradesh.

According to the IMD, the storm will bring heavy rains to parts of West Bengal, including Kolkata, North 24 Parganas, East Midnapore, and South 24 Parganas.

Upon receiving the IMD alert, the Kolkata Police established a ‘Unified Command Center’. Kolkata and other areas in West Bengal are expected to receive heavy rainfall this week, prompting all police divisions and stations in the area to remain on high alert.

The police are remaining prepared for any untoward incidents that may occur due to the storm by keeping gumboots and other equipment on hand.

The coastal areas of West Bengal are preparing for the storm due to cyclone alerts in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. Early Saturday morning, the depression was located 590 km east of Kalingapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, 510 km southeast of Gopalpur.

This storm is expected to evolve into a cyclonic storm within 12 hours. Towards the evening of September 26, it is estimated to cross the northern and southern coasts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha around Kalingapatnam.”, according to the IMD.

In Chhattisgarh on September 27, moderate to heavy rains are likely to fall in most places, with extremely heavy falls possible in isolated locations.
