Delhi’s government declared in its affidavit that it could impose a complete lockdown on local emissions if necessary. The Delhi government said, ‘We are willing to consider taking this step. As part of the National Capital Region and adjoining areas, it may be made mandatory by the Government of India.”
Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi had said, “We are willing to consider this step if it is made mandatory for the whole NCR region by the Government of India or the Air Quality Management commission in the National Capital Region and adjoining areas.”.
