Amit Shah launches 'Sahara Refund Portal'

For those who have invested in Sahara Cooperative Societies, there is good news. The “Sahara Refund Portal” was introduced by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday. Investing in Sahara through this portal will return money to investors’ bank accounts.

People can now seek for refunds online if their hard-earned money has been trapped in Sahara group organizations for years. Within 45 days of the application, if the claims are verified, they will receive the payment in their bank account.

The procedure of returning Rs 5,000 crore has begun as a trial in the first phase. Now, you can get back up to 10,000 rupees. The Supreme Court will hear an appeal about the outstanding balance after the first part has been paid.

According to Amit Shah, the government’s goal is for 1 crore 7 lakh investors to receive their complete investment back into their bank accounts via the platform. He claimed that there are 4 crore such investors in total, each of whom will receive Rs 10,000 at first glance. The Union Minister said that the government is trying to protect investors who have invested their entire life savings. They won’t lose their money. They will receive all the money fairly and honestly.
