Satyendar Jain hospitalized again; collapses in Delhi Tihar Jail’s bathroom

Satyendar Jain Hospitalized: Satyendar Jain, a former minister for Delhi and leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, was admitted to the hospital on Thursday. During a washroom visit at Tihar Jail on Wednesday night, Satyendra Jain fell unconscious.

He reportedly received minor wounds, according to the Tihar Jail authorities. He was taken to Deendayal Hospital for evaluation.

Jain has now been sent to the hospital three times in the past week. He was transported to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi earlier on May 22. Later, he developed spinal issues. He was taken to Deen Dayal Hospital for the same issue on May 20 as well.

SC seeks to Delhi Police on bail plea of Umar Khalid, accused of conspiracy in Delhi riots, seeks reply in 6 weeks

Regarding Umar Khalid’s request for bail after being charged with conspiracy in the Delhi riots, the Supreme Court has sent a notice to the Delhi Police. The Delhi Police have six weeks to respond to the apex court’s request.

The Delhi High Court had already rejected Khalid’s request for bail, describing the accusations against him as severe.

Umar Khalid, a graduate of JNU, and several other people have been charged with “masterminding” the riots in February 2020 under the Indian Penal Code and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

During demonstrations against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC), there was violence in Delhi. The riots resulted in 53 fatalities and more than 700 injuries.

Manish Sisodia confessed to destroying two mobile phones: Sources

Manish Sisodia, a former deputy chief minister of Delhi, is stated to have admitted to destroying two cell phones that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had been looking for in connection with the Delhi excise policy scam case.

The CBI was instructed by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to open an investigation into the excise scam on July 22, 2022. According to sources, Sisodia allegedly started using a new cell phone on that day.

The CBI discovered throughout its investigation that Sisodia had used three separate cell phones between January 1, 2020, and August 19, 2022.

The investigation agency carried out a search on August 19, 2022, and took one phone out of Sisodia’s possession.

Fire breaks out at shoe factory in Delhi’s Narela industrial area

On Tuesday night, an extensive fire started at a business that made shoes in Delhi’s Narela Industrial area, according to officials. 24 fire engines were brought to the scene, according to the officials, and efforts are being made to put out the fire.

So far, there have been no recorded casualties. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, according to the officials.

Court extends judicial custody of Manish Sisodia in CBI case till June 2

Delhi Liquor Policy: In the CBI case, the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has prolonged Manish Sisodia’s judicial detention until June 2. On Thursday, the court had earlier deferred its decision regarding Manish Sisodia‘s bail request.

In addition, Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma ordered the appropriate jail superintendent to make arrangements for a virtual meeting between Sisodia and her wife every other day between 3 and 4 pm until the bail appeal is resolved.

As per jail rules, the virtual meeting will take place as scheduled. In connection with cases filed by the CBI and ED, Sisodia is currently being held in judicial custody. Recently, he was also refused bail in the ED case.

Delhi liquor policy case: AAP MP Raghav Chadha named in ED’s charge sheet

Raghav Chadha, an AAP member, was named in the second supplemental chargesheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the case involving the Delhi liquor policy on Tuesday.

Delhi Police arrests six people for putting up objectionable posters against PM Modi

Six persons have been detained by the Delhi Police for putting up offensive posters critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. There have been 100 FIRs filed in this regard.
