This saw the participation of 30 leaders, including Sachin Pilot, KC Venugopal, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Rahul Gandhi. Additionally participating in this meeting via video conference was CM Ashok Gehlot.

The high command of the Congress is now focusing on Rajasthan after resolving the continuing unrest in Chhattisgarh. The preparations for the Rajasthan assembly elections 2023 were reviewed during this discussion between Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and former President Rahul Gandhi, and future strategy was addressed.

The conflict between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot is also thought to be being resolved at this meeting. Due to a leg injury, Chief Minister Gehlot participated in this meeting via video chat from Jaipur.

In addition to Kharge and former party leader Rahul Gandhi, other top Congress officials included General Secretary of the Congress KC Venugopal, State In-Charge Sukhjinder Randhawa, and President of the State Congress Committee Govind Singh Dotasara.

Siddaramaiah may take oath as Karnataka CM tomorrow, reports quoting sources

Punjab’s Sangrur court issues summons to Mallikarjun Kharge in a defamation case

Mallikarjun Kharge, the national president of the Congress, is under fire for his comments regarding the Bajrang Dal during the Karnataka elections. He has been sent a summons in a defamation lawsuit worth Rs 100 crore by the Sangrur court in Punjab.

Ramandeep Kaur, the Chief Civil Judge of Sangrur (Senior Division), has ordered Kharge to appear before the court on July 10.
