Delhi HC directs AAP govt to pay Rs 1 crore to COVID-stricken constable’s family

The Delhi High Court has ordered the AAP government to provide the family of police constable Amit Kumar, who passed away in 2020 after contracting COVID-19 while on duty, Rs 1 lakh in ex-gratia compensation.

As per the directive from the government, Justice Prathiba M. Singh noted that the compensation amount ought to be disbursed in a span of four weeks.
