Karnataka: As part of an ongoing investigation into the Bengaluru terror module case, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted searches at several locations in the state capital of Karnataka.

According to NIA sources, the agency has been searching the suspects’ connected properties since the early hours of the morning.

According to the source, new leads in the case have caused the anti-terror inquiry agency to launch more searches.

Priests Detained in Karnataka for Wearing Tiger Claw Pendants, Investigation Underway

According to authorities, two priests were detained in the Karnataka district of Chikkamagaluru on suspicion of wearing pendants made of tigers’ claws.

Three pendants made of tiger claws were taken from them by the forest department sleuths who detained them. They are questioning two more people. The tiger claws will be transferred to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for analysis, according to Balehonnur Range Forest officials.

ED raids Congress leader Manjunath Gowda’s premises in fake gold loan case

Karnataka: As part of its investigation into an alleged fake gold scam in the bank, the Directorate of ED conducted raids on the residences of Congress leader and chairman of the Shivamogga District Cooperative Central (DCC) Bank RM Manjunath Gowda on Thursday.

Investigators from the ED are conducting raids at Gowda’s home in Sharavathi Nagar, Shivamogga, and his farmstead close to Karakuchi in the Tirthahalli taluk of the district. Raids are still being conducted.

Earlier, ED asked the Shivamogga DCC Bank for a number of papers. On September 28, Gowda, who serves as the State Coordinator for the KPCC’s Cooperative Division (Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee), was chosen to lead Shivamogga DCC Bank. Since 1997, he has held this position.

In 2014, Manjunath Gowda was charged with fake gold loan fraud. In August 2014, Shivamogga police arrested Gowda for issuing loans against fake gold. According to the probe, the bank lost Rs 62 crore as a result of irregularities.

Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah stated that some malicious elements threw stones at the Eid Ul Milad parade in response to racial tension in Shivamogga. The police were also attacked with stones. 40 persons have been detained thus far. Such activities will not be tolerated by our government. The matter is currently under control.
