At the gathering location, the party set up hoardings with slogans that alluded to pitting Nitish against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He does not, however, specifically address the BJP leader. It is significant that, up to this point, no major party has backed the request to make Nitish the face of the Prime Minister’s job, with the exception of the ally Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in Bihar. JDU might emphasize the need to bring the opposition together during its meeting.

According to JD(U) national general secretary Afaq Ahmed Khan, some 110 party leaders from throughout the country, including the presidents of its 26 state units, will attend the national executive meeting on Saturday.
