Uttarakhand News: The Uttarakhand Assembly will hear a presentation of the Uniform Civil Code Bill on February 6. The Uttarakhand Assembly’s session will begin on February 5.
On February 2, the government will receive a draft report from the expert committee established to implement UCC. We have made all the arrangements, as Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami stated yesterday. We plan to introduce a bill in the next assembly session that will adopt the Uniform Civil Code throughout the state.
The Dhami government has made the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand a top priority. Currently, quick action is being taken in this direction. The draft UCC report was created by the committee, which was led by retired Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai.
